Race committee chose course 4 for the race which proved to be a long 3.3 knots. We had very light winds out of the direction we were headed along with the tide so it was a long slog upwind into the tide. At times we were ahead of a boat that rates 99 so we were doing quit well (all that sanding appears to have helped). When we rounded the mark the winds did too now from the southeast so we had a return trip hard on the wind but few tacks we barely came in under the time limit of 8:00pm and were the only boat in “B” fleet to finish in time.
