Talk about a reversal of fortunes I would have though that a second would have been a great result but come Saterday we should walk away with first. The last race we pulled out a decive bullet. We raced course 6 and we got off to a good start, second over the line, but about half way up the first leg the wind died and everyond just collected togather. We kept trying to keep moving and that paid off as we were ahead of all the “B” boats when the winds retuned. We rounded the first mark keeping Valcore behind. We had a good run to the next mark but had to decide whether to thread the needle between the barge and the ships or duck. Spanky made it but we chose to duck and that was the best move Valcore didn’t make it and that cost her second. From there we had a nice sail back to the finish well ahead of the rest of the “B” fleet.
