The timing for the start was very good too bad the crazy winds would not cooperate. While everyone else was on a nice reach this Colgate 26 and Sorellina were in some strange wind eddy that would not settle down. We finally got moving in the right direction but no before half the fleet sailed merrily past. We were doing quit well still playing catchup when at the weather mark disaster struck after rounding the mark we jibed at which time the main sheet caused our crew Tara to trip and go right off the stern and go completely under water. She popped back up like a bottle and she had the ware-with-all to grab the rear stanchion to pull up. Rodney then grabbed her up and landed her like he just caught a nice Trout. Now Sorellina with no one stearing decided to check out the locals aka the mark (bouy) we just passed with a head butt. So now we do a 360 to be sure we got the rule right but now the jib sheet are flailing about well of the boat so even more recovery time untill thing got under control and we could continue to well race. We recovered well enough to get a third and we compleated our person overboard drill for all to see.
