It did not look good for Little Sister as the winds were strong and the race was to “G-13” a good 5 miles well into Hampton Roads where the chop would slow us down. Sure enough after the coal piers we started to lose touch but not giving up and playing a good lift and taking advantage of Little Sisters’ quick acceleration we had chopped of a good deal of led by the mark. The winds started to lighten and we had pulled even with Tom Cat by our return to the coal pier. The flunky winds played into our hand and we regained the lead by the degausing station. We went on to win our fourth race but at the awards we realised that we still could only achieve a second. As a mater of fact we could have only finished 2 races and still ended up second. Again Rodney proved excellent crew and he had had no sleep and was sick true dedication well appreciated by the skipper!
